KCNC Fly Ride goes up to 130mm, ditto BBB BHS-03. I think for 140mm × 25.4 you're going to be looking at vintage (90s MTB) rather than current production.

Damn, Thomson 140 in silver is exactly what I want but they’re only doing North American shipping.

It’s for my tandem, playing around with different bars and need 2cm more reach to get it perfect.

One for Leonard Zinn, assuming we're talking about why cantilevers with the cable stop on the stem or upper headset parts chatter. The fundamentals of brake chatter are the same for other kinds of brakes; something in the system is not stiff enough, and when it bends under braking loads it's new shape causes the braking load to reduce.

That was my understanding, but it doesn't appear to explain judder with hydraulic discs. Or any disc brakes.

I was wondering whether a cable hanger mounted on the canti studs (like a brake booster) would be any good - ought to be even better than a crown-mounted one as there is no flex between the studs and brakes, and would work for suspension forks and forks with no drilled crown. Does it already exist?

Going to try some different bars for now, don’t really want to inconvenience JB, he’s got enough on his plate learning Russian.

I made a set once, definitely an upgrade from remote cable stops but V-brakes are a much simpler way to get the same effect.

The pads move back and forth inside the calipers, some brakes don't have tight tolerance to ensure the pads sit snugly.

It usually happened if the brakes isn't bedded in properly.

So I need to rewire a plug, and I got myself a new plug from my local DIY shop. I have just realised now that the original plug has a 3A fuse but the plug I got from the shop has a 13A fuse. Can I use it? Or is it too powerful? I think the shop might be closed now for Christmas so would be a few days wait to swap the plug, not end of the world but would rather get the plug fixed.

Dead easy, just be sure to cut and strip the wires to the correct lengths. You can buy fuses anywhere, your local Tesco or ASDA or even some corner shops.

Depends on the current going through, you could use a 3A fuse to be super safe if that’s what came out. Suppose you have no way of knowing if it requires a 3A, or actually that 3A was thrown in when a previous fuse had blown and there were no 13A to hand?

By the way as far as I remember, if you notice the wires are red and black, not brown and blue, the wiring is incredibly old and ‘recommended’ to be replaced to modern spec.

Im looking for a rechargeable gps tracker/recorder that I can carry in my bag to record my locations.

Basically a Garmin without the screen. But something I can plug into a computer if I need the gps data.
