A very long weekend away in Scotland and decided to opt out to take the train this time round as I'm traveling to Dundee and Aberdeen from Glasgow and back so I've got myself a hired car. Initially it was a smart runabout, but they ran out (who knew it was such a popular car) they had an X3, C-Class and other which didn't really tickle my fancy, until I saw on the page there was an Abarth 595 and literally I was like 'Shut up and take my money!!!!'
It's been a few years since I driven a proper car that wasn't a people carrier or automatic this little hatchback brought back a few memories of joy and a massive smile back to my face! Never driven a turbo charge car before or a car with electronic dials before either. The turbo gauge is just comical fun with its rev dial to 2.0 boost and that instant power never gets old, especially on the motorway. For the electronic dials, (for this version anyways) is rather a gimmick and there is a lag between power and what is happening in real time. Hey ho still good fun and it reminds me of a arcade game.
Only problem now is getting back from Aberdeen, as apparently there is a snow storm coming tomorrow which in hindsight I wish I choose the X3...
