Nev Southall by a country mile but did you read Peter Reid's riposte to Shilton?

Well, Aroogah, if that is your real name, unprecedented events called for unprecedented graphics. Using the most emotive colours of rich red, stirring blue, uplifting white and shameful yellow we have attempted to distill the fetid waters of British politics, vis a vis and re Brexit, to produce the pure water of psephological clarity. And though it is not our job to predict the future (in as much as there is anything other than the future that one can predict) I would say: don't apply for that Mauritian passport just yet. There is still hope.

Uplifting white bears some resemblance to Janice Long/John Peel BBC Radio 1 handovers. Circa 86/7?

Mr Melling is a Stewart Lee fan methinks! or at least, his word cloud participants are
shilbottle, the UKIPs, beaker folk, carpet remnant, lee mack, hamster, smug (arguably) are all references. Clearly I fit right in that demographic.

To paraphrase a book title, this whole thing is a bonfire of the credibilities.
It will take 20+ years to restore the UK's diplomatic reputation

One really solid leader could speed that process up a lot. Similar to how everybody was making fun of Bush and the US, but then Obama came along and despite his policies sometimes being rather disagreeable as well, everyone was suddenly fine with it. Obviously this disaster is much worse than having someone like Bush in power, so it will take longer to recover from, but it will also really depend on who's prime minister next.
The problem is that during the confidence vote, TV was showing potential Tory hopefuls. Not a single name that didn't make me feel queasy... So at least on that side, there's not much hope of an actually 'good' leader.

Now all we need to do is find that really solid leader ...

Dear lord.
They must have a sweepstake going on who can make the most ridiculous statement. I can't see any other way for this to have happened. -

Are medical doctors, (as opposed to holders of Ph.Ds), required to fulfill CPD?
I'm guessing Liam Fox DFDS,
(to give him his correct title 'Disgraced Former Defence Secretary'),
hasn't practised medicine for at least a decade. -

Last practised in the early 90's I believe.

Yeah as I said, on the Tory side not a single 'good' name. I mean I would never support a Tory anyway (not that I can vote, but you know, opinions are free), but even conservative parties sometimes have someone in charge who you might disagree with, but who doesn't make you want to vomit even just as a person. Currently, can't think of anyone.
What have the EU ever done for us? Opposed by a Fidesz MEP, a Forza Italia MEP .... and a British Conservative MEP.
