I have a Va to shoot over Christmas. I think it has one of the standard screens. I’ll see how I get on.

I shot with a III for while and it's standard screen was terrible. If you're going to shoot with one regularly I'd say a screen upgrade is essential.

Colorplus pushed to 1600 came back. Mostly shot in near darkness which came out ok. Daylight shots had this weird lightleak that I hope isnt caused by the body :( bit annoying as it was quite a few frames. Although this was before I fixed the issues with it so could have been related

Shooting with the D3 for the first time since I got it back. Seems like the slow speeds are running a bit slow as lots of images shot at 1/30 are super motion blurred.
The is Kodak 400

Only 5 photos out of ~16 from the 120 roll (filmdev dont send photos with loads of flare/#firstoftheroll shots). Nothing I was particularly proud of but proof that the camera works atleast. Expired lomography film and the worst camera Ive ever used so wasnt expecting much anyway

Second shot is great.
However it looks as though the camera is under exposing or Colorplus isn't a true ISO200 film and pushing to 1600 compounds that. Also the scanner may be trying to lift non-existent shadows. Either way, they look under exposed.
Does also look like a light leak :(I had similar with a ME Super - under exposed with similar light leak. Light leak appeared on a few frames on a roll at first, then progressively got worse. Whilst I do like the compactness of the Pentax M series bodies, I don't think they age that well.

to me those colorplus look like either 1. they're not actually pushed or 2. pushing has no effect on colorplus
or maybe 3. pushed but scanned to look clean rather than pull out whatever the film managed to capture
I pushed c41 a lot when I developed myself and this is nothing like the results I got
For one thing c41 generally goes magenta when you push it and these are the opposite of that

@Ste_S @shinkuu_kiss Yeah I'm not really sure whats happened. On some of the daylight shots theyre horrible underexposed but that might be to make up for the huge light leaks. Lots came out fine which makes me think they did correctly push the film? All the dev and scanning is done by filmdev so I really have no way of knowing whats happened with these.
What I find strange is that the lightleaks are only on the photos where I would have stopped the lens down, to f16 or 22. None where the lens was wide open or even below f8, could this be something to do with sticky aperture blades?

How are people digitising their negs? I've not got access to a scanner yet, so have been playing around with an iPad for backlighting and shooting my digital camera from a tripod through the neg sleeve holder. Not ideal but one way to get a quick idea of what I've shot.

Ive got an Epson Perfection 3200 (probably) for sale. Doubt I'm going to have the time to learn to use it/get better scans than filmdev small scans. Pm if you want it

It could well be the light leak that’s fooling the meter and under exposing. Might be worth looking at the negs when you get them back to see if light is leaking from the front of the camera - the leak will be contained in the frame and won’t hit the sprockets.
My ME Super was leaking from the front, despite a prior service. Couldn’t work out in the end what was causing it

Here’s the leak from mine, bit more prenounced than yours though

Doesnt sound very promising. Same leaks were on the first roll so I can check those. Same was true of the first roll that it was only when the lens was stopped down so not sure there. Its consistant in every photo which makes me think it occurs as the photo is taken. Slow mirror reflex maybe?

Were your leaks the same on every photo? One of these is from the first, other is from the second roll. Exactly the same leak

It got to be the same on every photo in the end. It appeared to be something that got worse - two photos on one roll to start then increasing on subsequent rolls.
The only other thing I could think of was a hole in the shutter getting progressively worse in my case. However even with shining a strong light at the shutter in the dark I couldn't see anything. -

Slightly OT but I'm considering selling my Graflex Speed Graphic Pacemaker and Aero Ektar Lens.
Would anyone be interested? I'm just hating having it gathering dust. It deserves to be used!
Yes, mine has a bright screen with split prism. It's pretty good but I struggle with critical focus unless I use the loupe.
