  • Would Sarri actually have allowed Chelsea's first goal though, or was Luiz disobeying his orders?

The number of times they unsuccessfully played out the back before Luiz finally gambled with a long ball, which paid off - was that all part of a tactical masterplan, or was that player frustration with tactics and a style of play that was being negated by Man City being set up to stop it?

  • I think City were leggy from 45 minutes of relentless pressing and slipped up.

Great skill from Hazard to make a yard and a thumping finish from Kanté, who should have been picked up making his run.

Fernandinho is a great player but he’s 33 and he can’t run for 90 mins twice a week.

This is precisely why Luiz has been preferred this season. He has an excellent long pass on him and has been using it to good effect.
