Wouldn’t say “whupped your asses”.
In the first half we contained your forwards but on another day could have conceded two or three.
Scored a decent goal. Gained in confidence immediately. The second half was much more even. You had around a dozen corners and scored from none. We had one. And scored.
Until the final whistle went, there was the prospect of a comeback. Luckily it did not materialise.
Pep planned his game around what he thought Chelsea would do not around what Chelsea did. He showed a lack of flexibility.
