Big fan of Keeler Needle 30 or 45 depending on your sadism.

Yeah, personally I stopped looking at distances for most rides when I started training for 24hrs back in 2011. It's time and TSS for me.
On the turbo I've never really thought about speed/distance though because it's pretty meaningless. It was always HR/time and nowadays W/time.
I normally ride my old TT bike which has a Compact unless it's TT season and then I'm running the Shiv w/ 57T. -

Thanks everyone for the reccos. Will add them all as favs and work through.

Any referral codes about?
Thanks -
• #1006
Yes, but I’ve referred you before so I’m not sure it’ll work again.

A new account should do it - Could you PM it when you get a chance?
Thanks! -

I have a few available as well.

I’m not getting this new calendar they’ve implemented. So you add plans via the calendar on the website - is this supposed to the sync with the app? Mine is not, so I can’t see future workouts within the plan I’ve apparently started.
Any ideas?

Nvm, there’s no ‘refresh’ button within the app, so had to kill it and start up again to get it to read-sync...

I think referrals are one use and can't be re assigned so can I suggest people don't ask for them from more than one person.
Regarding the calendar, I only use online and the Mac apps but it tends to sync after a while. The mac desktop app has a refresh button in the top right.

It does work. I've been using it of late. I normally start with TR closed so I can warmup and zero the Computrainer and then open it and it syncs.

Just signed up for this as I've got pretty bored with Zwift. Not actually done anything yet but have read quite a bit of stuff. It explains things pretty well.

What’s your plan to get ready for whatever it is you end up doing this year given the child? Curious given my circumstance.
Also how is your health now? -

Shit - Sorry!

I’ve referred everyone who’s ever asked me to do so, so I’ve not yet had to turn anyone down.

I'm doing a ramp test for the first time tomorrow, as the starting point for an 8 week program. I'd usually do the 20 minute test to gauge ftp, as I'm pretty good at pacing myself for that.
Is it simply a case of keep going until you pass out, and then a bit more?
-
• #1021
Yes, suffer like a dog for a couple of minutes and at some point your legs will refuse to put out any more power, and then the test stops.
-
• #1022
Yes and don't stop at the end of a ramp, push on as long as you can - I think it takes the best minute, not a calculation of the highest ramp.

• #1023
Me too. I'll be your brother in legs for it.

Also try set your ftp as close to where you think it is. Will give you the best result. Took me 4 goes I think it was.

I’m testing tomorrow too!
19mins 30secs is the ‘break even’ point for the current ftp so if you are switching test method, it’s a good target to get past.
I do, but it always bugged me that since switching to the trainer, at a glance I'm doing much more than I actually am. It was enhanced by the fact I do my trainer workouts with a 56T front ring so the flywheel speed is pretty fast.
