Noob alert:
I seem to have a load of Portra 160 knocking about. I’ve never done pushing of ISO, but would that be something that would make a 160 film potentially a bit more useful?I thought it would be useful when I went to Hawaii, but it was rainy and overcast the whole time we were there.

oh yeah, i am not shooting 35mm anymore, that was just for the 'texas leica' shot :P
690 is great in use, have sent the rolls, lets see how they come out.
Now I want GSW690III. That and the Fuji GF670 is I think it for me. I already have Mamiya 7II with 43mm and 80mm but 2 cameras mean 2 diff speed films.
What do you reckon Tina?

I know this is not 160 but this guy has some good videos for pushing/pulling various films:

Ace, cheers. I was going to have a go with some tri x at first and see how I get on.

You could google (or search Flickr) for examples.
In the end I guess one should just try it out and see whether one likes the look. You can push / pull all colour negative film (some more than others) and still get usable results.
Sometimes colours shift, and contrast changes - but you'll have to check that out yourself with the film you got in the light you're shooting in, and decide whether you like how it looks or not. -

Putting together an impromptu advent calendar is causing me to revisit some old-ish pics. Good feelings :)
The common thread is that the were all done on various disposable cameras.

Yep, I think I'm going to chuck a roll in something I can leave in my bag and get a wide range of shots from. See what happens.

the now re-homed bike pic? I'm dropping off this week at that well expensive place in old street with a load of rolls
-
• #18344
Yes, that's the one. Great story needs a great pic to go with it... fingers crossed

I think I'm having a reverse @amey, a #notbuyer moment. Have the money to buy a Leica thread mount or Contax IIa which I've fancied from afar for a while, but holding off.
Kind of wary of sinking money into another vintage camera that I'll turn into a shelf sitter when it's a money sink for CLA/Repairs. Also not getting enough time to go and shoot my existing cameras. Curse you sensible brain, anyone want to send me #buyer impulses my way ?

Yes pls.
Can you pm me shutter count. Any problems and what you’d like for it. I might need postage.

Don't buy.
I honestly don't know why I do it apart from the fact that its business expense for me plus I have bought all bar maybe two cameras at bottom prices, because they are commodity I can literally sell ALL for at least 50% profit.
I bet Tina is loving this chat.
A few from Almuñecar a month ago.
M3 and I think Fujicolor C200. (Filmdev Noritsu scans, no sharpening requested.)
