    1x10 with a clutch mech is a great setup, and means easy availability of good parts if something breaks or wears out. And if you're buying a bike with a suspension fork, it really pays to get the best one you can afford imo. Especially if it gets you coated aluminium stanchions, rather than steel.

  • Not as such. Both of the frames are 135 qr, by the looks of it. The fork on the VR isn't boost, which may mean you have to adapt or swap your wheel if you do upgrade to a new fork. It's obviously compatible with any 10 or 11 speed shimano kit, but you'd be basically starting from scratch.
