• Master is easy to scout if it's gone that suddenly. And it's easy to change. Slave is not, it's a concentric job which means gearbox etc out.
    They aren't a common thing to go. The hose as it snakes around the bulkhead esp on petrol models does get pretty crusty, hopefully just a hose.
    Concentric slaves, never buy a cheap one, too much labour to replace when it inevitably shits the bed in 3 months time (learnt this lesson already).
    Diesela don't get as hot and have the patented volvo anti corrosion system to stop anything under the bonnet ever ever corroding ;)
