Went nosing about a local jewellers today and came across these. All used. Opinions appreciated.

At that price you can probably sell it back on in 6 months if you don't like it. If you're not buying it new the big chunk of depreciation has already been taken care of.

Had my Speedmaster serviced recently, but stopped short of having the glass replaced because I'd prefer to have these scratches polished out. The jeweller I've previously used for this job (took about 5min, cost about £5) has now closed. Anyone know where I could get this done similarly quickly and cheaply?
Halfway tempted to buy a polishing pad for my power drill...

Is it glass or acrylic?
-
• #31634
Er, dunno. Glass probably. How do I tell? It's got the mini Omega symbol in the middle, if that's any indication?

Touch it against your top lip. Does it feel cold? If so, sapphire glass. If not, hesalite acrylic.
EDIT: it looks like sapphire crystal to me, given lack of distortion.
EDIT EDIT: I just read that the sapphire crystals don't have the Omega logo though. Not sure if that is true.

Indeed. Even without knocks, it is very 'me.' Will do the job nicely as a daily wearer until I can muster up the courage to actually save some money properly to get something nicer.

Should be attached to a chain so you can wear it around your neck, Flavor Flav style.

I once had a Viagra pill shaped soap dispenser.
I miss it sometimes. -

Paid up the £65 today at the watchmaker’s, for the servicing on the little ladies Omega, should be good to go for a few years now.

Picked up another one of these. Certainly didn’t need it, but it was very poorly listed at auction and I couldn’t say “no”. Interesting “T” stamp. It’s usually encircled.

Apologies if this is getting boring for you lot but I'm starting to bore myself so I know it's bad.
The Ti Steinhart I found locally has got me stewing. The guy will take $650 for it. He described it as being mint and said it hadn't had a lot of wear. He sent photos through and it has quite a few scratches on the buckle. Am I being too picky or is this what most would expect for a watch that has been worn. Also, if this bugs me at this stage, am I going to be constantly pissed off with the way that titanium marks relatively easily when compared to steel?

Firstly, the Steinhart Ti bracelets are known to pick up scratches fairly easy. I don't think that is unreasonable wear. I'm not sure whether the finish on the Ti is suitable for polishing, you'd have to look that up.
What I can say is that watch is not mint. To describe it as mint is an utter piss take. Mint means absolutely unmarked condition, as if it has literally just left the factory.
Are you dealing in USD? A used condition Ocean One Ti usually sells for about £400 in the UK.
Thanks @ChainBreaker
I'm currently weighing up my options. Unfortunately just as quickly as I can talk myself into "needing" something I can also talk my self out of it. Imagine if this was actually for an expensive watch....
I think I just need to stop fannying around and bite the bullet.
