  • As far as my experience tells me, yep. PayPal account stays linked to your original country/currency of origin.

    Maybe worth double checking direct with them but it seems a good money spinner for them to do it this way...

  • No doubt FX is a good money earner, but because I work for a competitor, I have a completely fee free account. So when I need to pay a foreign currency invoice on PayPal, I pay using my MasterCard from work, and PayPal give me the option of paying in original currency (thus forwarding the charge on to my card provider, which is 0 for me) or exchanging to my account currency with a charge levied. Obviously I always choose the former, and it should be possible, but maybe not in the traditional send money functionality, only in invoice payment.
