  • Yeah great potential for certain shots but I cant see myself taking 36 photos in that kind of light :( wish my lifestyle justified spending the dollar on it
Going to go back and take the same pic of Bradleys on colorplus pushed to 1600 to have a comparison

  • Feel very lucky with how cheap film is in the US. Three rolls of experia 400 is $9.50! portra is $7.49 a roll, too. All Kodak stuff is mega cheap as it’s only made a few hundred miles away. CineStill is also not too unreasonable. $11.99 a roll.

Need a scanner though and can’t afford it yet and it’s killing me :-( wanna see my negs!

  • Peaceful and poetic. For me, you should work more on colors for the last two ones. What is the camera ?

    @mi7rennie Love the RB one.

  • Thanks. The last two are on tungsten balanced film, I thought about correcting it but decided not to.
Camera is Pentax 6x7 with the 105mm f/2.4.

  • HP5.. If I've shot it at 400ISO can I get away with a one stop push at dev for increased contrast ?

  • There are some light leaks ? Or just lens flare ?
They are really smooth, I guess it is the lens. I would like to try this camera.

  • You better use a contrast developer.

  • Don't have a choice as it's a lab, XTOL.

  • Just lens flare, the lens has some fungus and I was shooting it wide open.

  • Why do you want contrast on your neg ? Negatives should be soft to have the largest tonal range. Then on print/digital image, you could contrast.

  • .

  • Light is nice here.

  • Couple of shots from a test roll through a Canon Sureshot Sleek (32mm f3.5 lens).
It doesn't appear to have the sharpest of lenses, and perhaps not the most contrasted either. These shots where Superia and took a bit of fiddling in Lightroom to get some contrast in. Find the tiny tiny viewfinder difficult to get used to also

On the plus side it's small, exposures seem about right, has a dial to turn the flash off and cost £15. One for the jersey pocket.

  • Nice selfie ! How do you find the Leica iii ?

  • Annoying! You have to cut the leader to shape, it’s a pain to load and as a result the frame counter is always wrong. It’s fully manual and without a built in meter, so it’s slow to use. The shutter speeds aren’t standard either.

Takes quite nice pictures when you get it right tho. It’s also incredible considering it’s 60+ years old. And it was my Grandfather’s. So not completely without merit ; )

In seriousness, it’s an amazing camera but I prefer something more practical (not that i’ll Ever part with it).

  • You have to cut the leader to shape

I think about a Leica III every now and again but then remember that ;)
Inherited cameras are always the best though

  • A friend has just found one in her Grandad's house after he passed away, with a plan to learn photography with it

She's been asking me advice on it, and I'm morally torn between wanting her to use something with family history, and desperately hoping she gives up and sells it to me.

  • Annoying! You have to cut the leader to shape

You should give this camera to someone else and get back to your T4 then.

  • Anyone after a Mju II ? Ffordes have a boxed one with case and strap for £99 which seems pretty reasonable these days

  • It didn’t last long!

Hah TK, I definitely think that if it wasn’t my grandad’s I would pass it on - I’d happily spend the cash on something else tbh.
Might put my replacement roll of Cinestill 50d through it.

  • Who was going to take a picture but got distracted by a police car so went off to get a picture of the incident? Where's the pic?

  • So...it happened again. Shot the same film (Colorplus) in the MV and the same weird/coke tobacco stuff has appeared. Felt very grindy on winding. Especially rewinding, even locked up at one point and I had to really force it to finish winding it in. I'll probably keep using it as all the pics came out fine last time (!!). Im lost
