Regular Deore are pretty good.

best are shimano xtr or avid ultimate IMO
deore xt and lower level avids are almost as good
avoid anything not by shimano/avid -
What @platypus and @MisterMikkel said. Avid or Shimano, and I would look for ones where the pads are replaceable.
But tbh, even my cheapest tektro ones that are flimsy and have solid brake pads are ok. Anything is an upgrade compared to cantis. New cables can improve the brakes massively as well.
