Credit Card. It's being done using a particularly egregious bit of financial arseholery called a "Continuous Payment Authority". I've instructed my bank (repeatedly) to cancel the transaction but they say that the transaction can be renewed by the organisation that you have the CPA with - one way they go about sneaking around the flags is by changing the amount each time they make a debit. which according to my records, is exactly what they've done.
Trying to resolve this over the phone is almost impossible as the RAC seem to be of the opinion that they have no record of me and i've not received any renewal notifications via email or post - at least none that i've intercepted. Interesting that they can't seem to search for my records using the debit info they clearly have on hand that they are using to rinse me every year.
