Interesting. Would the EU agree to extend A50 if 'No Deal' was an option on the referendum though? Why would they, right?

It’s speculation, but if it came to a referendum would No Deal make it into the ballot paper? There is, arguably, less than 50 MPs who support that, so they’d get voted down I’d think.

Can you imagine if all interactions were like this? I'm an engineer - say I go to a design review and Bill says "I calculated the loading in this part you've designed and it's too weak - it's going to break", and I go "When you talk about "weakness" and "breaking" everyone's going to think you're talking about one of your own designs, Bill! Right, next question?".

It's all politicians but she is particularly prone to/adept at it. The level of meaningful debate in the commons disgusts me.

We've probably gone over this to death, but I think if there were only two options on the ballot: Deal or Remain, then Remain have a chance of winning.

But if it's 3 options: Deal, No Deal or Remain with some sort of transferable vote system, then Deal will probably clinch it.

Sickening isn't it. Might as well just answer every question with 'Yo Mama' and give up the pretence that it's in any way a constructive or intelligent debate.

I'd have thought those who want remain would vote remain, and those who want to leave would split their votes between deal and no deal.

I have a friend who has declared that he will vote leave, regardless, he's not an idiot, but he's being an idiot! he's very much trying to ascertain that his standpoint is the principled standpoint!
