Yeah Patchwork has been on my wishlist for ages. I just want to try it out in the boardgame cafe first as I'm green/brown colour blind and I thought that might be a problem. But every time I've suggested we try it out my kids think it sounds boring, especially when there's more exciting/violent themed games around.

Only 2 player, but I think Patchwork should be OK for them.
A friends nephew and nice loved Exploding Kittens - although the younger was older than your youngest.
Or Monopoly and continually whip their arses and take their money to teach them life lessons.
