I got 35mm conti CX races into a winter fork with a caliper on. While it fitted and spun freely there wasn't much sidewall to fork wiggle room, so out of the saddle powering or anything that might deflect the wheel would cause rubbing, add mud to that as well and expect to damage the fork.
I never rode the bike on 35mm as concern of damage.
I reckoned a 30mm would be ok and allow for light/slushy mud. 32mm would depend on is it really a 32 ? and will it be seeing lots of grinding paste mud clogging :)
