  • Anyone (in London) got a half decent running backpack they’re not using? I’m heading to the Lakes on Thursday for a few days of walking/Kendal Mountain Festival, and plan to get a long run in on Saturday morn but my run-to-work backpack is extremely uncomfortable...

I’d rather by second hand, but failing that, any recommendations for a fairly priced one that could be bought at somewhere like Cotswolds, Runner’s Need/central London? Thanks

  • Decathlon do one for under £30. Something like 12l capacity and a 1l water bladder. Perfect for not carrying much stuff, not so good if you need loads with you.

  • You'll always fill whatever bag you take, and running with a bag isn't much fun - so I'd definitely recommend not going much bigger.
FWIW, I wear my inov8 race vest for my long runs where I take full waterproofs, hat, gloves, gels/snacks in the gel pockets and the 2 x 500ml water bottles in their pockets, maybe a sandwich and a spare layer, and phone etc, and that all fits in there.
