Guys, can you recommend me some tires? I'm looking for some slicks for my Awol, 40-45c, tubeless ready.

Contact sport II 42c but not tubeless

thanks, I know them, but I need tubeless tire. Maxxis Re-fuse 40c seems to be nice, but too expensive.
There ale lots of 38c options, but I guess it may look odd with Awol clearances... -

Specialized Sawtooth 42c
Heavy, but remarkably speedy. Set up nice tubeless.

Top view. Didn't cause any issue on 20 miles of mud covered, broken up lanes in heavy rain yesterday.

They pick up a lot of small stones and glass in the grooves it can cause punctures quite easilly

Meant to have a thick crown of rubber and a breaker aswell.
Went through all sorts of stones and smashed glass along the way yesterday, I run high pressures cos I'm fat so guess that helps -

I use Gravelkings SK 43c now, so I wanted a real slick, like regular GK, but a bit wider.

Never tried them but the Compass Snoqualmie Pass seem to tick all the boxes.
700 x 44c, almost complete slicks and tubeless ready. -

I just rode them on a week long tour through the Vosges Mountains and the Black Forest. Pretty good bang for the buck. However my WTB Horizons used to be more lush and supple.

Question to the Gravel hivemind:
I've got a real boner for a Ti disc/gravel bike at the moment - gone are my days of spaffing 2k on a frame:
Planet X Tempest Ti
Talk to me..... (flame me)
No real reviews, wide speculation that HUGE tyres will fit, yet PX claims max 38, how good is the Ti... etc etc

Planet X Tempest Ti

£700... looks great to me.

They don’t have the V2 in stock in a M, but still, the V3 seems a little more and still the same deal.
I’m really interested to see if someone has one, and if they can share experience of it, particularly tyre clearance.
If it’s “max 38mm” like my TCX is then it’s more like 42mm. If it’s “max 38” like a CAAD12 is max28, then it’ll be tight at 37!!!

I'm still trying to sell my Charge Plug 5, shame it's not the right size

Indeed - Id prefer something second hand to scratch my itch before committing to something perhaps like a Reilly Gradient etc

your TCX is better

I've had a Pickenflick for years and run it with WTB horizons/byways -similar frame to the Tempest and would highly recommend it. Rides as nice my Moots!
I would buy another if it broke, just started racing cross on it so may need to
if your bike is this one
