Anyone else struggling now the seasons have changed?
My ability to put away crumpets seems to have a correlation to when the temp drops.

Yeah, I'll eat an entire pack of nuts no problem. Unsalted nuts less of a problem but they're still pretty calorific and too easy to overeat. Fruit and yog or a salad is slower to get through and hopefully by that stage you're less hungry.

I love quark with a diced pear, a couple of chopped dates or figs, and a few pecans roughly broken. Quark is very satisfying. The sourness/chalkiness is easily balanced with a bit of fruit.

It's all good until I'm hungover. 2x cheese twists for breakfast, huge falafel wrap for lunch

Not quite. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syrniki
Polish use quark type stuff to make cheesecakes.

Yep they're lovely, I knew them as 'quarkkeulchen' sold on the street in Germany. Polish quark (twarog) has a slightly chunky texture though. The smooth, German-style one is what I get.

I'm quite happy smashing cheesecakes from either country.
Have this kind of thing when I go to Poland:

Thanks. At the start of Jan 2017, I was at 116kg so I'm looking at 30kg lost so far!
And you know what? It was all due to a broken ankle...
