Great day, small group, fast pace, joyous ride..

Sames, always makes me feel a little twinge of sadness that despite 10+ years of forumenging I've yet to ever make it to any forum event as a non-Londoner.
-
• #329
This place and it's tendrils have given me some of my most memorable times.
That's pretty amazing.
-
• #331
Do come to London sometime! Would be great to meet you.
-
• #332
Absolutely, I'll keep my eyes peeled for a good forum event to attend!

That just made me read Paul's arrival thread
some stand out quotes:
you do realise he is now called "50x14"
and if he comes back on this forum he MUST change his username to
"50x14"I definitely learned a few things though. Like not taking everything
I own in a courier bag for the just-in-case scenarios that didn't
happen. I suspect I need a smaller bag...Now where's Scottnotscot with
those hip bags.nice bike, are they tubs as well?!? good god!
and
Hi, I'm a friend of Roberto's and he's asked me to join. Trouble is my
fixie's not ready, so I'll have to use my road Tery Dolan with gears
and brakes. Hope that's ok. PaulJust imagine if he'd used his Dolan.

Haha, that made me chuckle

I remember riding with him to brighten with @pigfarmer @PinkGottiMobbs @Spins and FRANK and fiddy drinking snakebites on the train on the way back with a can of strongbow and a can of stella straight into his mouth.
Moser with denim and a leather jacket. Stopped to fix a puncture. First time he put the same tube back in. Second and third time both his tubes already had holes in.
If he was just going to the pub it was full lycra

How about I organise a Bridges Ride that includes a Circle Line Ride, East Ride an ends up in tramp beers in Brick Lane?
Make a list I will make it happen.
The original marathon ride?
I think we started at Tower bridge (cause 26.2 miles was way too far to ride) at 7am and proceeded to bolt it round canary wharf and down the embankment on perfectly empty roads with the workmen putting up barriers cheering us on. Lots of sudden group sprints for no reason. Then got stopped by security on the final sprint down the Mall. Retired to a greasy spoon for fry up breakfast. Great Sunday morning.
