Shouldn't he be on the floor, clutching a shoulder, with the mayor of Liverpool standing over him threatening legal action against the EU?

We finished last season 30 points behind Citeh. If the first 11 games are extrapolated over the 38, we will finish 7 points behind them. Improvement but not sufficient.
However, as we have not yet played a major side and have in reality been mopping up points against minor relegation fodder or those destined to mid table obscurity, we need to improve our game. That said, Sarri said that it would take a few months for his system to be understood and adopted, we can hope that that point will be reached soon.

Two divergent ideas about the proposed European Super League.
The first is that Tottenham supporters will be very upset to be the highest ranked English team to miss out on acceptance to the league.
The second is that Tottenham fans are celebrating the fact that they will soon be able to have a crack at winning the English league for the first time in almost 60 years.

That's the Emirates isn't it?
-
• #147448
yep. Otherwise it's the stadium delay, and the cost overrun, and once we're in the new stadium it'll be about whether we've adjusted to it or not.

Marko Marin.
St Totteringham's, and it will return soon enough but patience, work in progress.
Saturday's game was a cracker to watch, a real treat for the neutral I'm sure. After all the piss-taking over Van Dijk, having watched him live, I'd say he's worth every penny.
For me this game was always going to be about the performance as much as the result and in those terms it was a success. Emre's system worked against a quality side and the players looked to be getting much more comfortable with it. He's also getting a proper performance from Xhaka and Mustafi, who I always thought suffered from a lack of coaching under Arsene. Most important thing tho, going to the football is fun again.
