I did it (after phoning the number on their website to make sure it was legit), took about fifteen minutes. I didn't get any vouchers though, feel like I've missed out now.

Can someone with a bikeradar login give me a hand?
I've spotted something on the classifieds I would really like but as they registration process needs approval by a moderator I can't message the seller to tell them. Just need someone to message the seller passing on my email address / asking for theirs.
Cheers

Can anyone tell me what this rusty old thing is? It's a bit over a metre long and has a rod up the middle which operates a sort of cup thing.

Kinda looks like a really old chimney cap, but at the same time I'm fairly sure it's not that. If no one can help you here, you might want to consider posting this on reddit, on /r/whatisthisthing. They're usually pretty good at solving such stuff!

Could it be a Gully Grab Drain Cleaner Scoop?
Search that and see if it sort of matches. -

Rockets? Maybe. Grounded fireworks not so much.

Superb, thank you sir! I might even use it as we have a blocked gully.

If you do it between sunset and dinner on the 5th of November, you're fine. If you do it at any other time either in your garden or anywhere else, they you are a massive cunt.

My mum was given a painting when she retired by her former employer. Said employer has just died and my mum would like to sell the painting that she never really liked. It's 'after Claude'. Think the employer had it checked out when insuring years ago and it was found to have not been by him but maybe an apprentice or something. Any idea how you'd go about selling while minimising things like cleaning and restoration fees/valuer fees/auction fees etc. Is there a go-to private sale forum or something? Microcosm for posh paintings?

A few years ago I purchased a single bit of cycling kit while living in the UK from a particular brand. A year ago I moved to Australia, and have visited their website a few times. This morning I received an email with a special offer for Australian customers. How could they possibly know my location? I am subscribed to their emails.

How could they possibly know my location
From your IP address. If you used your email to log in to their site, they would then be able to connect your email to your location.
If you didn't log in, they've got it from the IP address you were on when you opened the emails, by embedding remote content and then seeing where you called it from. Mailing lists routinely use that method to see if people are actually opening the mail, it's only a small step to lookup the IP address too and see where they are opening it.

Makes sense. I've never received such specific advertising before, more just the "you viewed this, so you must like this other thing".

I've bought a dahon cadenza, sort of a 26 inch hybrid that folds. The frame can take discs but I'm wondering if I put hydros on there would it be a problem with the folding mechanism? What's the max radius you can bend a hydro tube? Can't be bothered with cable discs so would just stick to Vs if it came down to it
I've done it twice now. An hour or two answering various questions about income, expenditure, etc. Hardly onerous and almost all of the information the Government could find out about me as an individual anyway. Voluntary too, so if you say no they'll move on and find someone else.
I've got a £10 voucher in the post for each one.
