Nice! That should work out pretty well I think, the challenging thing will probably be getting the dome shape right on the top disc when sanding it down. Out of curiosity, what software is this?

Wouldn't it be easier to bind all the sheets together, then core 50mm cylinders and then turn it in a lathe, or are these calculations part of the aforementioned process?
