That also works: it just means you're looking at where the bottom surface of each layer touches the sphere, instead of the top surface.

That's the correct approach if you want to sand it down to a hemisphere, I think.

@moocher Slightly jealous of the workspace that you clearly have, I'd love to be able to do stuff like that once in a while.
