We had really bad problems with slugs when we moved in, the dining room wall had some minor damp which helped them get in, we think.
The surveyor said a simple french drain would sort the damp, and lo and behold, a mere 8 months later when I finally bothered to dig it, the slug problem stopped overnight. Not seen one since.I also chucked about fifteen quids worth of copper coins underneath the floorboards. No idea if that helped too.
Anyone had problems with slugs getting into their house? I find their silvery trails over the floor in the morning but I never catch them, which is ridiculous given how slow they are. I've also not really got any idea how they're getting in. Don't want to put slug pellets about as really keen not to poison my small infant.
Also, is there a general consensus on how to stop cats shitting in your garden?
