What time is it? Watches and horology

I have a long sleeved t shirt under my work shirt today, and for reasons I've decided to wear my watch over the t shirt.

If HE can't pull it off, you might be on an uphill struggle ;-)

Nice, I popped into the Seiko boutique late Saturday and they had one on display, I think it was their release day, looks fresh. There were two versions iirc.

Yes I think I got mine on the release day of the day after. Was lucky as I was just looking at Seiko watches and saw it and loved the colors.

It's orange. And I like orange. :)

yeah I get the triggers broom thing but he wanted to put a jubilee on it, the current original oyster is very stretched, worn and is covered in black paint on the inside and the ends are bend out of shape - I know this could be rectified but I’m treating this like I’m finishing his project. I have an oyster strap on the Tudor and I personally prefer them to the bling jubilee... I’ll see if I can find one for a good price and try it out.

Sorry, misuse of the term - I meant dial swap.
The reason I wanted to sort the dial now is to be able to show it to my father and get his approval, so to speak...
yes you’re correct, my father chose the oyster when it was purchased for him, which he regrets as he has since thought a DJ looks better on the jubilee. He also regrets choosing this watch over a slightly darker grey one that was in another shop across town but didn’t make it back there so took this one.

That Seiko is bloody lovely though!

Oyster is kinda cool on a 1603 though. Jubilee might be hard to find. Then again the bracelet looks pretty f-ed right now

31trum (jpw leatherworks) starps have spoiled me. Nothing comes close. Granted, they are heavyweight, might not fit all and every thing, but on a diver they are perfection. In my opinion.

What colour dial are you thinking?

Champagne has a timelessness to it and goes with lots of colours. Black is obviously a smart contrast and great on a smart black leather strap, or more casual brown ones.

This. My skx was not great with accuracy but my current crop of Seiko's are great. Samurai seems to be bang on and the cheap snzg15 is within 1 or 2 seconds.

Its my actual dream watch. Swoon.

Maybe I should crep protect my strap.

Just asked Jason if there is a product I should use. Last summer was hot, the strap must be sweat soaked.
