Thanks for going into detail. This really helps me going forward. A 135mm stem or longer would be a tad too long for me as I am used to 100-120mm stems. So 56cm seems a good choice.
What is your guess why the fixie crit scene don't use super deep drops compared to track riders ? I think it must be the handling as you are often confronted with sudden crashes and a packed peloton. Maybe a higher position helps with the overview too.
I have never ridden a really deep drop. How does it feel while cornering compared to a standard road bike position ?

I wanted my drop in front of the front axel - adding a 135mm stem - and a deep drop.
On the fixie crit scene, the super deep drop doesn't seem to be present on the top riders/teams.
