Can’t believe it’s been this long until a 3 speed conversion but my 2 speed is just niggling me,
11-14-17 is my ideal, but I’ll take 12-14-17 or 12-14-16 if I need to!
Plan is to create an easy kit, with a few mods/bodges as possible. Plug and play is the one.

HELP!!!
My bloody Brompton is now starting to do my nut in....
Its an s2l, its stuck in he high gear which just adds to the ludicrous look of big fella on Brompton now spinning at 120rpm.
Is there a spring in the little rocker thing with the 2 grub screws on it? there is enough throw ie. grub screws all the way out but the rocker is not getting pulled enough to the smaller sprocket.
Any help appreciated.

too much tension on the system, how old is it? shifters above or below bar?
if below, easy, back off the barrel adjuster on the shifter, if above, take the cover off and move the cable end one slot down.

its above.
Ill try opening and moving the end bit along a slot
cheers.

Did it work previously?
Got lambasted before, but if mine gets dirty then it can stick, leading to poor shifting.

Its supremely grimy too. A good clean is probably well overdue too.
Ill give a good going over tonight.

So, damn, I'm changing jobs (got a much nicer package), but that now means I'll have to pay the remaining months of the cyclescheme off my net salary from the old company (which is 6 months [or maybe even 7]) at almost £90! i.e. £630 + if I want to keep it, another £250!
Which means even paying 5 months off my gross, I've saved barely £100
But if I don't buy it back, I've wasted loads of money.I mean, I knew that, but the idea of the cycle to work scheme is to push people to cycle. So why not give the same saving even when leaving the current job? Just let me pay the remaining 7 months as before in one shot + 25% of the original value of the bike [fair enough, not really, but ok]. It'd still make a good save and incentivise people to buy and use bikes.

What about selling the bike, pay it off, take out a new cyclescheme?
-
• #5495
Not sure I can sell if for that price though.

• #5496
Spec and age? And how much to cover it?
-
• #5497
Standard 2sl racks and, wow, already? five months

How much you got pay to get out?
-
• #5499
I'm paying £83.33 a month as salary sacrifice. I've been paying it since May, so 6 months so far and I guess it'll go on the November little payroll too, so 7 months (wow, it's 7 months old? it seems yesterday!)
So I'll have to shell out £416.69 + 25% of the £1k voucher which is £250, so total will be £666.69 I'll have to pay off my next net I guess in order to keep it. -

Under cycle to work terms I’m pretty sure the bike is owned by the scheme and you are hiring it until a final end of hire payment is made.
