Only your wife can answer that question, I've never had the need to either break in a Brooks or be broken in by one, they just worked out of the box.

Second hand ones? About £30-40.

I've only had 2nd hand ones and all have been fine.
The only one I wasn't mad on was the Colt and that was because it didn't fit my sit bones that well.

Cambium C17S? No breaking in, if it changes then it's breaking or broken.
Also, waterproof.

My wife wants a brown Brooks saddle for her Brompton. She doesn’t ride enough to really wear one in (40mins a day commute-o-bimble).
