I miss those days. I get white hands, then cycling between numb and pain.

Craft Lobsters, accept no substitute.
Now, if I could find an equivalent for my feet...

Yes, received, trial fitted but not yet actually used as it's still been waaay too warm, this weekend does seem to be a step in the direction of needing them though.
They seem pretty well made and everything and they didn't actually take so long to arrive so I've actually now got a pair of the flat bar ones on the way too.

Probably worth mentioning, you'll not get into the drops with them fitted but riding from the hoods seemed like it'd work fine.

And as if on cue, a sub zero morning.
They are super quick to fit to the bike which is good.
Started off with thin bmx gloves on inside the mitts and that was enough to keep me lovely and toasty. I actually started wondering how much insulation I was getting from the bmx gloves but any tube I took my hand out of the mitt - to adjust my back, indicate etc - I got a sharp reminder of how cold it was!
Took the gloves off at the end of my commute and went commando so to speak and was still nice and toasty, there was a little bit of a draught and taking my hand out with no glove on was bloody cold!

And the thin bmx gloves I wore under them...

They look like you robbed an elf’s wardrobe

Wow thanks! That’s all really helpful.
After riding yesterday with freezing cold hands (rain&wet gloves) I wish I had ordered them when you first posted the aliexpress link!

And they look top.

It’s so cold you need those gloves but you’ve got bare knees?
Do you hate them or something?
-
• #2238
Yea. The other bmx glove says ‘knee’

How did you even take that first picture?

It wasn’t my knees that were the problem, it was the draught up the shorts!

Took multiple visits to decide if they’d have anything better, and if these would suit... but actually for £15 from TK Maxx these are quite okay.
Wearing my old pair of Altura Night Vision on the way, hands weren’t freezing but weren’t warm either. Any colder and I’d be suffering. I noticed when removing that my fingers were cold to touch.
Gave in and went to TK Maxx and on the way back these were warm from the off and none of the cold wind seemed to break through. Fingers are a little Michelin Man, but no shifting issues on the mtb.

These PowerGrab 3/4 are my work/riding gloves of choice for winter. Good for 10hr work days outdoors and riding in the cold when dry. £4 a pair.
If it’s raining like a bastard or really fucking cold the Tegeras go over the top.

Work kit is always vastly superior to sports stuff when it comes to the extremities in my experience.

Bought a pair of these in Evans a couple months back,
They somehow managed to fail to keep my hands warm yet still make them sweaty on my ride in the morning.
Removing a multi layered glove from a sweaty hand without flipping it inside out is...something special.
Went out tonight with bmx gloves under the bar mitts and my hands were perfect. No sweatyness, comfortable temperature, I'm a total convert.

Do you know if the Powergrabs work with touchscreens (iPhone)?
I doubt it. My hands go red and hurt when they get cold but not white.
