  • There's nothing to an IS headset except the bearings, if you want to be confident that they are decent then make sure they were made by TH of ROC, rather than some no-name PRC factory. It's not that the mainlanders can't make good bearings, just that they are unlikely to make them for anybody trying to get lower prices than they do from TH.

  • Yeah and I’d just buy bearings because it’s way cheaper that way than when it gets called “a headset” but I need crown race and the top bearing cover.
    There’s FSA on eBay for £22 or so but they’re all from Taiwan and I’m skeptical because actual FSA are c £40
