Anyone know if Giant SLR disc front hub end caps are the same at DT Swiss and/or 15mm axle compatible?

Kinlin XR31T. Are these available in silver anywhere apart from the States? Either as rims or build into a wheelset. I know Hunt use them, I was wondering if there was an alternative.

Which type? I have an unused one if you want it.

EDIT. Yours is black...

Good shout. I've had a wheelset built with Evaura rims in the past, I didn't realise there was a deeper Devaura model too.

yes evaura is xr22 and devaura is xr31

Does anyone know if Hunt Wheels ever run sales or do promo codes?
Looking to replace my Mavic Aksiums, done nearly 15,000 miles of courier work on them. Thinking about replacing them with a Hunt Aero Wide wheelset.

They sometimes have ex-demo wheelsets on sale. Other than that, I don't think they do discounts.

Recommendations for a cheapish fixed rear wheel?
For example, 24mm carbon tubular rim, cx rays and lightweight fixed hub? Don’t know much about tubular rims or fixed hubs.

Hunt demo sale was two weeks ago. I suggest you keep checking as they come up more in the winter.

I want a new (factory) wheelset (rim brake) that I can use year-round for commuting & training.
I've been using Shimano RS10 for the past 5-6 years and it looks like I can get RS11 for £115.Fulcrum seem to be well rated though and the Racing 5 model look good value...Cartridge bearings though - Has anyone had any problems? My RS10 were maintenance-free and the hubs (cup & cone) spin as smooth as the day I bought them...

@danstuff @pacef8
Thank you for the replies.
Now I am just trying to decide between the Aero Wide Race (£379) or the cheaper 4Season Aero (£319).
Both are the same width, Aero Wide Race have a 3mm deeper rim and 24 spoked rear vs 28 of the 4 season, Aero Wide also has straight pull spokes front and rear.
Anyone able to offer opinion on the two? I am not sure what qualities I should really be looking for in a wheelset that will be used for commuting/courier work all year round.

The Aero Wide uses Kinlin XR31T rims, which are excellent and my default alloy rim of choice. However, the 4 seasons have a higher spoke count and the spokes are chunkier too. For commuting and couriering I'd go for the 4 seasons.

I had Racing 5 and they were great most of the time. Except if you need to true them, the nipples are aluminium and can seize onto the spokes. Then when you try to true them the spokes twist because they're aero shape. Never had a problem with hubs or bearings but I probably did <10k km on them

Had about 10,000km out of my Racing 5 before bearings needed replacing on the rear. Really solid wheels.

At a guess, I'd say wheels with Mavic stickers on the hubs and Aksium stickers on the rims 😀
I don't think spending more than twice as much on Hunt is going to get you any more durability, still less twice as much. -

I was going to say I'd get RS11s instead, but I know that's not true as I like nice shiny things.

I’ve had some Hope 25 CL for just over a year, been on my Canyon Ultimate. The aluminium rim has cracked by quite a few of the spokes. Very fine cracks. I weigh 76kgs for reference.
Plan to contact the manufacturer tomorrow to see what they say as I certainly expected them to last longer! Before I do would be good to know people’s thoughts on it...

It's the kind of thing that can happen, I'd guess not enough material in the spoke bed. I wouldn't say it's common, but I've had it happen before (old Mavic 721s, Velocity A23). I believe Pacenti were plagued with these issues on some of their earlier rims.
I think you should be entitled to a rim replacement. -

Yes, I have thought about going with another set of Aksiums.
They have been great, bearings are still good and I’ve only had to clean/oil the freehub once. The rear has 3 seized nipples and the brake tracks are worn. I had them trued at my LBS who recommended a rebuild, but said it might be better just to replace with a new wheelset.
The main thing I would like is a wider rim. Which puts me off replacing them with another set of Aksiums.

What year are your old Aksiums? They have got slightly wider lately. For my money, the current ones are fine for tyres up to 25C, my GP4000S come up to 26.5mm on a current Aksium. If you're using bigger tyres than that, then something based on the Kinlin XR31T would be nice, if you don't mind spending the money.
I'm sure we herded all the weight weenies into a shipping container when everyone realised it's basically irrelevant some time in the late 90s.
