  • Wait... Ejay likes Omegas now?

  • Thanks. I’ve been in contact with him. And I got a look at a vintage one locally.
As per the recent thread discussion, I’m not so sure about checking watches etc.
    Thanks

  • I had this exact same problem on the exact same watch - after a lot of cack handed attempts of my own I ended up sending it to IWC. It took them months to fix it..

    Good luck..

  • And don't you forget it.

  • I bought a copy of Moonwatch Only to read in the year it took me to save the £££, definitely helped in making an informed purchase. Just don’t drop it on the cat, it’s huge.
Also check out Omega Forums, so much knowledge and a fairly trusted For Sale section.

  • Thanks. Back to pondering again

  • I should buy what I like and not what a general consensus of opinion thinks.

    Bro do you even Internet?

  • That is a pricey book.

  • I think I paid £120 so yeah it is but I was determined to buy the watch so a worth while investment imo. It’s amazing how many variations there are.

Don’t know if anyone listens to the Time4APint podcast but they run these watch nights once every couple of months for collectors to get together.... Lfgss version? Meet somewhere like a pub (Reej still have that upstairs room?) and have a nose at watches? Just thinking out loud...

  • I would be up for that even coming from Oxford.

  • Totally agree, the subseconds looks much cleaner but the air france logo and the dual colours clutter it up a bit. I guess the red and the blue is for the french flag?

  • why not come to time4apint? I'm often there

actually that's not really selling it :/

  • Couldn't find an appropriate thread to ask this on - can anyone recommend a good smart watch for cycling and running please? Not too bothered about a plethora of smart watch features and I have no desire to view texts on a watch

  • Sounds great

@inchpincher time4apint have a good system set up in terms of security. A leaf could be take. Out of their book i reckon.

  • @coppiThat @freddo

I was going to go to the meet on Tuesday but wife’s away with work. Also the vetting bit on the application didn’t submit because I don’t have an Instagram account and it deleted the other guff I had to write in the allotted time.
I’ll try to go to the November meet.

Sounds like you want a fitness tracker rather than a watch then.

    Have a look at these.

  • would be up for this.

  • Early Friday watch but what the hell...

Kudos to Radar for letting me have it. Nice to meet you.

  • Not sure if this should here or rant thread etc...I had hoped to buy an Explorer i for my 30th birthday, ejay had even kindly put one aside in the Windsor shop for me to buy. Unfortunately I bought a loose diamond on the saleroom, which turns out had a fraudulent certification and so have been going through a process of getting a refund (still not complete) and have since had to re-buy a replacement stone, coupled with having to help out a couple of family members with stuff.
Appreciate that is a super first world problem post, I had been really looking forward to that watch. But I've found this thread has relaxed me and made me realise that these things are worth the wait and will last a lifetime.

  • ^super lame post apologies

  • Sorry to hear mate and probably to late to help but loose diamonds are the things we specialise in . We are really good at the watch thing , but fucking outrageously good at diamond jewellery, if I can help at all even just for advice message me.

  • This came back from service today . I had forgotten how good a basic no nonsense Omega seamaster 300 diver is. Good enough for Bond . And it’s mine.

  • Bad luck on the diamond. Just rest assured you’ve a) done the right thing b) got great taste and, most importantly c) not bored the tits off everyone fawning over a comedy wrist brick with a big red button on it.

  • Burn the heretic. Ploprof rules.

  • that sucks man, bad luck. Hope you get it sorted, and the wait will be worth it!
