First Man was good but disappointing. The space scenes are well shot and really show up the low tech high tech nature of the times, but I wanted a thrilling space-race adventure and got a sombre study of mourning. And yes it's too long. Not a film I'd watch again, unlike The Martian or Gravity.

All a bit silly. He's meant to be on a press junket to promote his passion project but didn't appear to want to talk about his personal connection to the film.

I went to Picturehouse Central last night to seea BFI London Film Festival: All the Gods in the sky. Fucking mental surrealist effort about a sibling relationship, not sure if it'll be shown anywhere but if you like weird films try to find it.

Never been to Picture central before, it's a bit fancy.

Mandy- it’s like someone asked a 16 year old goth to make a cult horror film. I really can’t emphasise how much I disliked this film. Possibly going so far to say it’s the worst film I’ve ever seen!

Don’t waste your time. There is so much great cinema that doesn’t receive any attention (Dogman, The Rider) whilst shit like Mandy becomes a cult classic by people who haven’t even watched it.

Oh, it's a good film and some of the performances (in particular Jeff Bridges) are great, but there's no reason why they couldn't have cut off at least 20 minutes or so

Agree, it should be shortened to 'Bad Times at El Royale'.

Guess it's each to their own, but I quite liked A Star is Born, Gaga in particular. Again though, slightly too long.

ROBOCOP on terrestrial as we speak. there's not a shot in this movie that isn't entirely necessary. Perfectly directed, acted and edited. obsequious corporate fuckery never looked so good.
