  • Point me to the website where I can buy it please......

  • Yes please

  • I’ll see what I can do. Am down there this weekend so if there’s any I’ll post up.

  • Ta H. Hope you are well.

  • All good thx. How bout yourself?

  • I think I have mentioned that I did not do well this year with chili plants - which is a real shame as we had the bestest summer since a long time. Oh well.
So it's just 4 plants now that have little to no fruit, two of them have actually started blooming again two weeks ago or so, but of course there'll be no berries from them this year at least.

The most wretched of all is a little stick of a plant that lost almost all its leaves (was about to bin it but could not be arsed actually) - it then, weeks later, suddenly started producing one berry (I think this was from a ordinary red pepperoni I got from an organic food store beginning of the year).
This was green, and just hung there for weeks now - until today - it starts to become red!

Needless to say I'm very proud!

  • First chocolate habenero from the garden

  • i threw the towel in the last two summers, as the weather bit me in the arse. this year has been absolutely perfect (well, in uk terms) for chilis. annoyed with myself for not chucking a few in.

  • Had mild success with some wahaca seeds.
Planted fairly late but fruited like crazy, alas my wife and I over watered them and there is barely any heat in them.

  • Less water = hotter fruits?

  • I was under the impression that they get hotter the more hostile the environment, so less water/feed the pokier they will be.
I am an armchair amateur though, so don't take that as written.

  • I didn't send you any seeds in the end as I only had bombs and you already had them. The chocolate habeneros have done alright for me considering I've neglected them all summer. Think they were from @Olly398

  • Update: will be on way in a weeks time.
Jam was made by Mum of farm manager, and all is currently in t'north ish.

  • Serious haul from my Dad this year. Some habeneros, some scorpions and some unknown red ones.

I`ve just started a few fermentation experiments.

    1. Jalapenos with 1 super-hot scorpion
    2. Jalapenos alone
    3. Mix of Dads Chillis

All will be fermented for c. 1 month in 3% brine with garlic, peppercorns and bay

Never done it before so excited to see how it turns out

  • Haha yeah. He makes it all into a vast amount of Harrisa which he distributes amongst family / colleagues / passers by

  • He grew all those? His setup must be immense

  • Wow! Dibs / need!
Save some seeds to join our seed swap!
I have done badly for chillies this year (baby arrived) but next year have my thermostatic inverse fridge ready for germination and hopefully a poly tunnel later in the year.

  • It's a pretty big greenhouse. Grows mostly chilli's in there but also tomatoes.

  • Sounds good. I'll make sure to save some
