  • First Man was good but disappointing. The space scenes are well shot and really show up the low tech high tech nature of the times, but I wanted a thrilling space-race adventure and got a sombre study of mourning. And yes it's too long. Not a film I'd watch again, unlike The Martian or Gravity.

  • sounds to me he got sick of Journalists questions about his film and they just writing what they wanted about it......

  • Bloomin' journalists writing what they want.

  • dont get me wrong i wasnt defending him in any way, just thats how i interpreted his reaction to that particular journie.

  • All a bit silly. He's meant to be on a press junket to promote his passion project but didn't appear to want to talk about his personal connection to the film.

  • Aparently what got his back up was being asked incessant questions about his co-star...

  • I went to Picturehouse Central last night to seea BFI London Film Festival: All the Gods in the sky. Fucking mental surrealist effort about a sibling relationship, not sure if it'll be shown anywhere but if you like weird films try to find it.

Never been to Picture central before, it's a bit fancy.

  • This short got made into a full length movie

  • Mandy- it’s like someone asked a 16 year old goth to make a cult horror film. I really can’t emphasise how much I disliked this film. Possibly going so far to say it’s the worst film I’ve ever seen!

  • You're ticking all my boxes...

  • Don’t waste your time. There is so much great cinema that doesn’t receive any attention (Dogman, The Rider) whilst shit like Mandy becomes a cult classic by people who haven’t even watched it.

  • nonsense! it's fantastic. watch it joe, and put Lucy behind you... forever.

  • I thought Mandy was fantastic, it's trashy and overacted yeah but also beautiful.

  • I watched it yesterday too.

At what point does an homage to something become so close to the something that it may as well be the something.

By which time, what is it actually offering itself?

(Apart from 10 seconds of classic Cage screaming "You ripped my shirt!")

  • Bad Times at The El Royale is wayyyyyyy too long

  • Heard someone say it's worth leaving after 20 minutes if you only want the good stuff.

  • Oh, it's a good film and some of the performances (in particular Jeff Bridges) are great, but there's no reason why they couldn't have cut off at least 20 minutes or so

  • Agree, it should be shortened to 'Bad Times at El Royale'.

  • Guess it's each to their own, but I quite liked A Star is Born, Gaga in particular. Again though, slightly too long.

  • The night comes for us.

mindblowingly violent and all the more amazing for it.

    contains Iko Uwais.

  • contains Iko Uwais.

This is just a name, regrettably not some new sex thing you can claim you regrettably Googled.

  • I, Tonya is now available on Amazon Prime. You are welcome.

  • ROBOCOP on terrestrial as we speak. there's not a shot in this movie that isn't entirely necessary. Perfectly directed, acted and edited. obsequious corporate fuckery never looked so good.

best enjoyed as part of a starship troopers double bill, obvs.

  • Enjoyed everything about it, apart from the lighting on the face comps when she's skating

  • Watched a purchased copy of Sorry to bother you last night. Fantastically crazy even if they hammer home "the message" of the film a bit hard.
