He’s a fine looking fella, good on him. I worry about mine as Coonies often have heart conditions due to inbreeding (her father died of heart failure aged 9) and they don’t live much beyond 12 years anyway. Diz is 10 next March, eek

Couldn’t disagree more in my experience. Good breeders don’t allow any kind of close familial ties . Our last two Maine coons lived much longer than that . Our white boy ( and whites are thought to be the most prone to issues ) was 19 when we lost him and his brother 17.

Do you know how much your Maine Coons weigh? Fabric is 3.2kg....your cats have probably had bigger shits!

Really? Two of my ex’s coons died aged around 12 which is why I looked into it. I very much hope you’re right.
