Someone tell him that it's ok to use an inline seatpost please.

Why is the lever like that? How you gonna brake from the stem? Ew.

Fair, but redundant; the whole subject of this thread is "things that make you go ew" 🤮

I've noticed a lot of bikes with similar setup being posted on instagram recently. I wondered if it was a case of fitting a brake in order to comply with the law but by fitting it in a manner where it is all but unusable to rebel against that law.

That's what I thought as well but it still looks stupid as fuck. Better to do something fun/non-hideous like this instead:
(spacer stack is anti so maybe it belongs here anyway)

For such purpose the seatpost-mounted brake lever was de rigueur back in 2007.

That's what I thought. Or it could just be that the bike belongs to somebody with more money than sense?

No photoshop involved here.

I'd ride that on track without worries tbh. Negative stem + spacerstack is stupid though I give you that.

Looks like they thoughts, fuck spaying this again, I'll just dip the back end in this tub of beige paint, then dip it in this smaller tub of brown....perfect.
Shit sticks.
