  • Believe it's Barworks group

    http://barworks.com

  • Cheers - good places.

  • These ones and The Axe are Graceland. Same founders as Barworks but I’m told they’re different groups, somehow

  • Strange, I started to look into it and it appears they’re all under barworks now. I know those sites used to have a different ops manager.

Just reading about these guys and they’ve certainly made a mark. Seem to have had a hand in Camden Town and ELLC

  • Interesting. I particularly rate those ones I mentioned, but will check out the others. The Diner never really did it for me, and I'm too old for The Wenlock & Essex, but Mare Street Market looks cool, and I'll have to have a look at the other pubs on the roster.

  • The Axe in stokey is really the only one that’s similar, the rest still have a decent beer selection but are a little more lively

  • If London based people are after Cloudwater Parkin Cake, Hop Burns and Black have it in both shops -didn't think it was one we would see down here.

  • If you can find Parkin grab it all for enjoyment. I got 3 more cans from the last 24 they had on sale at Unit 9.

    Rations might last through October.

  • I got a couple, but will probably nip back and grab a couple more to stick away for Christmas. Such a well balanced beer.

  • It is almost perfect... my only grumble, this is an autumn/winter beer.

If I can keep one for Christmas Day it'll be a willpower win.

  • Founders KBS Bourbon BA Stout

  • Big thanks for the tip. Steep delivery cost but I'm now the proud owner of two cans.

Also from LHD, a Woodland Creatures, and an Easy Tiger I'm enjoying right this second

  • Woodland Creatures

That and Parkin will be a great night in!

  • Deya Steady Rolling Man

  • Can confirm this imperial stout from Burning Sky is fucking delicious.

  • picon bière

"Anyway, one such game on the French Atlantic coast lead me to order a Picon biere and be confronted shortly afterwards with a sort of orangey brown and moderately fizzy pint. Intriguingly, the addition of an orangey liqeur to continental lager creates a drink with the taste of a nice pale ale but the cool, sparkling refreshment of a shandy. It was confusing and alluring at the same time, like a wet dream about a second cousin."

  • Pretty spot on description! It's also a good way to get through all the shit beer left at my house after a bbq.

  • Good idea. I think I need some of this in my collection.

  • Local co-op refurbed, now stocking this with a buy 2 save 18p offer. Early retirement a step closer.

  • I wasn't going to drink tonight.

So I've just put 5 cans of DIPA in the fridge.

    "whoops"

  • Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday.

  • You should try my Lovely Juice (TM)

Half Stella, half Scrumpy Jack, dash of blackcurrant and apple cordial and then a shot of Bombay Sapphire and Captain Morgan's rum.

Actually, it's not very good for you
