Is decent light level (around 300 lumen), decent battery life and a decent mount for sub £50 wishful thinking?
Bought an Oxford Ultra Torch Pro 300
a few months ago but it seems to want charging more often than a 2 year old iphone and it's almost bounced out its mount a couple times.

I've a Cateye Volt 800 which I'm very happy with you should be able to pick one up online for in or around £50

Cheers for the suggestion.
Actually just bought a couple alternative mounts on ebay to try, they were only a couple quid.
Can put up with regular charging if I know the light's not gonna disappear on me.

Lasts for ever on low setting, brightest setting is magnificent. Comes with a wired button to switch between settings (double click activates boost) Battery is removeable/replaceable and it will run off a usb power pack if you need it to.

Just some kyprtonite street f250 lights n, they are 250L at max but only last 1.5 hours at that power I think. Enough to see by for city and commuting across parks and rubbish paths. Not though for MTB. Front mount is good and solid

Recommended light for road night riding? I had a cateye volt 1200 and it was great off-road but I'd like something with a more focused beam

Having a problem with the Garmin + light mount of this, how's that supposed to clamp the bar? Looks like the rubber rings are for 24.5 and 26 diameter, what about 31.8?
May end using a DIY mount I have for cateye+Garmin -

Recommendations for an integrated garmin front mount with cateye light mounted at the base?

It was a Cateye centre fork light bracket, plus a bit of time spent with some calipers and a Dremel. Is it still holding up ok?
@Hoke
Apparently there's a genuine Cateye one but it's only out at the end of the month. -

hmmm - so i bought a seriously discounted "Lezyne Zecto Drive Rear 80" thinking it had one of those "always on but bright pulse mode(s)"
but it didnae
i was thinking of returning, but its actually a really good light and small space on the seatpost - so now i am thinking of mating it with a always-on-but-pulse 2nd light,

Followed an amazing rear light last night.
Way brighter than everyone else but completely non-dazzling.
Turned out to be:
