Anyone used the 4K Apeman?
I'm tempted, mainly for the commute but if it is reasonable might like to use it for holidays.
If shit I'll just get the HD one. -

I put mine in the front of my lid, not overly obvious to look at, but can certainly feel the added weight on my neck after 30 mins

Akaso, it was best selling on Amazon when I looked. Seems to do the trick

I don’t wear a helmet so... and like I said, they are exactly the same size as a GoPro.
These mounts are CNC machines mounts from eBay, about £5 each.

In fact, I saw a guy wearing a GoPro on his lid but it’s pointing backward, he has no front facing camera...? 🤷🏻♀️
I gotta admit, it did make me feel quite uncomfortable waiting behind him at the red light.

I've uploaded a clip from the Apeman 4K.
This is recording HD at 60p.
The sky is pretty blown out but this was at 5pm on a beautiful sunny Autumn evening last week when the sun is super low.Feel free to download. Stays active for a week I think.
I'll do a full 4K at 25p soon and upload that too.
I'm happy with it. £40 and it comes with every mount possible although I'm going to upgrade to something more secure and easier to take off.
A fraction of the cost of a GoPro so I'm not going to shit myself if it gets pinched or I drop it. -

I'm going to leave my case on the bike. That way, when I forget the camera people (drivers) might think they're still on camera and the arguing matches might end sooner.

Best of luck with that ;)
My commuter spends the evenings and weekends locked up outside. I've even had my light mounts stolen before, no lights just the mounts, crappy cheap Cateye ones :/Is there a simple twist off mount attachment?

I don't leave my bike outside so I'm not worried about stuff on it going missing.
I had a look for a QR mount but I didn't like any of them. I wanted QR though, not those massive threaded things that are all over ebay. I could probably repurpose my Hope Vision 1 mount but I'd rather just throw money at a mount that works.

We're using this mount, which doesn't take too long to remove but certainly isn't QR clamp style.

Nice. Also bought an Apeman and have been looking for something good for handlebar mount. The one that comes with it is garbage.

Apeman 4K was corrupting clips. Messaged seller on Ebay. Seller has closed account/been banned after a month of ripping people off by the looks of it :/
4k @ 25p was just a blurry mess and the battery life was shocking. -

Anyone have a spare cycliq mounting screw/bolt thing for sells?

Any gopro / apeman bolt will work too
I have spare ones of those - PM me address & I'll pop it in the post

Well the Apeman and Fly6 paid for themselves many times over on Tuesday when I was rear-ended by a car near my office. Captured everything. 100% driver's fault.

True, but the one I have is a bit awkward with sweaty or cold(numb) hands. The cycliq ones look easier to use.
Cheers, will PM -

What sort of battery life are people getting from their Apeman cameras? I tend to be on my bike for 4-5 hours and wondering if it would last the entire time.
What does the remote actually do?
Edit - read some amazon reviews. Battery seems to last 90mins. The remote takes photos and start/stops recording.

I get about 2 hours for continuous recording from a full charge. I know this because sometimes I forget to turn it off when I get home... 😬

Anything more on this? Fuzz on the case?

Thanks.
How do you switch the camera on and off? Is it possible with the remote?
I can’t seem to find that detail on the amazon page.
Go to Amazon and search for action cam, plenty of choices. I got a SJCAM (about £50) and a Apeman (about £30), both are knocked off GoPro, both are basic models with standard HD, no WiFi, nothing fancy, use exactly the same accessories, exactly the same size (ok, maybe ever so slightly different).
Obviously the quality isn’t comparable with a GoPro but if you are just using it for recording and don’t intend to use the footage for any art pieces then they are more than fine.
In fact, I have a GoPro for my work but I don’t use it my bike because a 32GB card doesn’t go that far for recording my commute. I get about 4.5hrs on my SJCAM and about 5.5hrs in my Apeman on a 32GB card.
If the standard accessories ain’t suitable , eBay is your best friend, go for the CNC machined stuff over plastic, they last much longer.
