    To a degree yes, but this is overkill in a "but whyyy" kinda way.

    Doesn't matter how many pistons you have, you're limited by the tyre/rotor combo. You'll be locking up wheels before the caliper hits it's peak performance and the opposite goes for the rubber.

    Saying that, I'd still build it for shits and giggles.

  • I use 2pot on 140mm at 100kg and find them more than good enough, 4pot would be unnecessary

  • Totally agree. SRAM uses 4 pots (much smaller pistons) very effectively, but Zee was designed for big ass rotors/tyres.
    My point was the combination of parts, not the merit of each components. Those tyres will give out long before the braking system has reached it's proper potential.

    Same on motorcycles. My 2pots (290mm rotors) will lose effectiveness IF I abuse at them. My 4pots (320mm) don't give two shits.

    2pots will be more than fine for normal use.
