  • Looks likely to turn into a Labrador, wave goodbye to your soft furnishings!

  • Ah we're more than used to early stage Labvelopment. Super over-excited.
Should be more and more Fox-Red as he gets older- but probably not as much as our old dog Rudy:

Seen here with George.(Just the best dog any kid could hope for)

  • Looks a cracking pup, I have a half sensible 4 year old and a 6 month old bag of teeth....

  • That's the joy of Labs- never fully sensible, but often well behaved.

  • Obligatory Rockford Bridge shot, the dogs vary over the years as unfortunately we outlive them.

  • My dad used to have greyhounds (we had 14 at one stage) and they are the most loving pet you could have..... and no cats in your garden!

  • @stedlocks @MetalMelly and @Colin_the_Bald
A very lovely set of Doggos there. Love greyhounds.

  • RIP Mr Riley..... fucking gutted.

  • Sorry to hear that, Pat :-(

  • RIP - looks like a great fella, hope he passed peacefully

  • Thanks guys..... I'm sitting here drinking cider mixed with gin, and I'm very close to going 'boom'.... It wouldn't take a lot.

Mr Riley was 11 years old, and was a bit of a miracle dog, insomuch as he has his little trotter reconstructed 4 years ago, in experimental surgery, carried out by a pal of that supervet chap. He should have had his chips then and I was out in my garage for many hours, creating a sort of wheeled harness, so he could still come out for walkies with me...in the end. It wasn't needed though.

Over the last two days, he was being sick a lot, and eating grass whilst drinking loads of water, then being sick again. This afternoon, after being a bit lethargic all day, he had a massive fit, lasting about three-four minutes. He was obviously in pain ith it....his fucking eyes were nearly popping out.
We took him straight in to the emergency vets, and after a thorough examination, it was decided to give my buddy the blue juice.

    That's it.

My other two dogs are all over the place too.....mooching around, looking for him.

Like I said earlier, fucking gutted.

  • I’m very sorry to hear that @stedlocks - looks like a great pup.

  • Cheers man.....he was a good boy.

  • I'm sorry to hear your sad news. Irreplaceable...at least that's how it probably feels. Poor chap's in the best place I guess.

  • Just gets more cute. She's won more fans in the pub and now the local café. Tbh I'm getting a bit tired of folks walking up and telling her how gorgeous she is; how she's sooo cute, so cuddly etc etc. WHAT ABOUT ME?

  • Well, you know what they say ... dogs resemble their companion humans ... :)

  • My pets for the weekend. Rosie and Teasel are sisters but there's about three years between them. They are my sister's dogs and we were visiting tumuli near Monkton Up Wimborne. Photgenic dogs but always "far away".

  • Errol completed his first 5k race today in 27mins. Not bad considering the organiser laughed at us for running with a Shih Tzu.

  • I'm looking for some advice, Molly is now 8 and our insurance with Petplan has been getting really expensive, despite the fact she has no health issues, they are asking for £68 a month!

She's on a lifetime policy but I'm looking for a cheaper alternative that will offer similar cover, I see M&S offer a mid range lifetime policy.

Anyone with experience of changing insurers?

    Picture for attention!

  • Not many rabbits on here? PDSA think almost half of UK adults own pets, with about one quarter owing dogs and one quarter owing cats. But just 2% own rabbits. The UK needs more rabbits. Here are our two, Honey and Blackberry.
