  • What a weak response.

  • presumably when one of his odious opinions is directed towards them / someone they care about. until then - hey, he likes bikes as much as we do so why should we care?

quoth the warrior poet tibbulous: slopey of shoulder.

  • This is about sustained bigotry, plagiarism and a badly handled exercise in public relations.

  • Care to comment on your claimed partnership with RSF?

They don't seem to appreciate your repeated theft and use of their logos and images? Using multiple accounts to get around being blocked? Almost sounds like you're doing it deliberately to piss them off...

  • You're not doing a very good job of convincing anyone that you're not just an alt-right tosspot on the level of a 14-year old who's just found 4chan.

There are genuinely interesting debates to be had here and Sam Harris, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, and Christopher Hitchens have all added something to them. You haven't.

  • I'll be the judge of that.

Actually, no. The public will be the judge of thatΒ β€” clues in the word.

You've come to our community space to sweat this out, and I think it was welcome and appreciated you showed up. People saw something they didn't like within their community space (plagiarism and some pretty torrid political outpouring from a "respected" brand) and were discussing it.

The only thing I see is someone unable to revert on any of the criticisms levelled at them, and in fact reinforcing on the points in discussion.

  • Spot on. The now claimed Collab with RSF appears to be mendacious rubbish too.

  • Great piece here on Twitter mobs and specifically why nobody should listen to them.

Again, conveniently finding someone else's work to do your own graft, but this article is about things getting taken out of context or that are years old?

Edit; And using the article in defence of your using Twitter to anonymously mob-attack someone - Someone who has had to put up with this shit her entire life from people like you - ??

You've been given a chance to explain, apologise, amend, but you've literally doubled down this week to amplify the racism, misogyny and anti-semitism in your posts.

  • For those those still following the thread, who aren't offended by the Union Jack emoji.

Just in case you've not realised Thom, this community is made up of cyclists from all over the world despite having started out as a London based forum.

There are plenty of those amongst us here who find the colonialist, imperialistic symbol of the Union Jack to be offensive to varying degrees. Your pro-brexit, best of British, let's go back to the good old days stance in particular is particularly offensive to those of us whose countries were terrorised by unwanted British rule over recent and not so recent years and it does absolutely nothing other than sate your nationalist ego to spit your vitriolic shite about people of different backgrounds infiltrating "your" Britain.

The future is inclusive and the sooner arseholes such as yourself realise this (or your breed die out) the better.

  • No need, RSF are aware of the thread-they can choose to confirm or deny your 'intentions' as they see fit. I think it's a matter of record that when first called out on it you didn't say you had a partnership with them or intended to do so, you just claimed it was a homage.

The thing with apologies though, Thom, is that people are entitled to accept them or not. The fact that he hasn't, seems to indicate he doesn't think it was sincere, and it's not because you said sorry that you're entitled to his forgiveness, especially if you go and repeat the same offence afterwards then lift the RSF logo to boot.

  • "Witch hunt"

Who does that sound like again?

  • So, tell me about you....

I ride a bike and hate racists.

  • Why did you change your name to @Big_Sally ?

  • It's a witch-hunt.

    Ahahhahahahahhahha

  • They are two different folk.

The lad on here who runs the RSF doesn't like me. I'll refrain from saying his name out of respect. (not sure why).

I used two images that were apparently off their feed (I wasn't aware of the feed, as I was blocked from the account from the start). See above. These photos were sent to me by a customer along with a load more. I get that all the time. Since I ride rough stuff and a steel bike, mudguards etc people will naturally associate that imagery with my brand and I get tagging in lots of photos as well as receive images via email.

I didn't see an issue with using the photos. Many instagram accounts post old photos from mags etc. I've been doing it for years too. Sometime who can't credit anyone, sometime they don't want crediting.

The issue with his Grandad was out of order, I apologised for that face-to-face over a year ago. I do regret that, it was a cunts' act. I was retaliating to being constantly getting spat at when out on the bike by the same lad that runs the RSF feed. As you can imagine, it got under my skin. So I got under his. As said, I have since apologised to his face. I got NO apology back.

These are folk just don't want to see me succeed.

Carl has had an issue with me since I dropped him on two climbs in Mallorca. He stopped talking to me about 4 years ago, as did the rest of them. None of them ever gave me a reason.

    It's a witch-hunt.

The sec of the RSF is Henk. I have the emails that confirm my intentions with the bobble hat and fund-raising idea. Another bloke runs the Facebook Group who I spoke to also, I presume, since it's an old opperation their communications are vague and all over the place. I also imagine there isn't that much to do running a relatively small club like that, I might be wrong.

    So, tell me about you....

    https://quillette.com/2018/08/13/nobody-Βshould-listen-to-twitter-mobs/

Got as far as "Nobody should be fired for tweets" before realising that the article was likely to be trash. People are entitled to say what they want; they're not entitled to avoid the repercussions of saying those things.

  • Donald Yomp β„’

  • @Big_Sally

Does "I'm working class, my dad was a miner" count as identity politics?

    Do libertarians support strike action?

  • Twitter deleted your account because of your noxious tweets. Twitter, the company, thinks you're racist.

Edit: so does nearly everyone else in this thread, but that goes without saying

  • No, they only support a system where you go from a production economy to one where you stick your logo on a steel chip fork and call yourself an artist.

  • You posted a selfie with Safiya Saeed last night, I wonder if you took the opportunity to tell her that she is oppressed and that her religion is inherently violent at the time? I am sure she'd be very interested to hear your nuanced, thoughtful views.

Thom, another opportunity to promote your cause of liberating these oppressed women from a violent religion, did you take it? Or just the attempted damage limitation selfies?

  • "Witch Hunt"

Over the last year I have been pondering if this phrase has ever been used by a defedent who was eventually exhonerated?

I don't know where to start with the research, so will just present my hunch as fact: if you cry witch hunt, you are a witch.
