brixton is over.

Why the rejection?
Best bet then is to walk around Brixton village, shared paid for toilet which has a baby change, so you could do Franco manca, mama lan, okan, honest burger, etc. Or if you’re okay with outside pop Brixton has a range of street food type stalls.
If you need inside you could do lounge past dog star on railton road or rosa’s Thai cafe or wahaca on Atlantic road.
If they don’t like any of those options they need to ask themselves why are they even leaving their house.. -

lounge thats the one i was trying to remember always had a nice time in there
-
• #2783
yeah lounge is older than dirt, and is one of those places in brixton where the multicultural thing really works. Hadn't been in there for years and went back twice in a month or so, and it feels like it hasn't changed from when I was in there a decade back. Good drinks, nice wait staff, foods decent. Snatch a window seat and you're all good..

Sorry I should have made myself clearer @Markyboy and @snowy_again don’t have a financial stake in the shop, their musical partner in crime Claudia does. Back when souths was a going concern there was an open deck night that Claudia ran at mango landing that the forum bods used to play records at..

I am now a Herne Hill resident. It's weird to walk out the door every morning and be in some suburban world of yoga mums and coconut flat whites

Sounds like Brixton.

• #2792
did they decide on someplace they want to eat? Or is this for a future rendezvous?
-
• #2793
Nah, I walk out and see kids getting their minibuses to private schools

Looking for a good sunday roast. Any suggestions?
-
• #2797
I enjoy tulse hill hotel, bit spendy, but felt like it was worth it.
Camberwell arms was great roast, and have had dinner at the canton arms (my local), but not their Sunday roasts as they have weird short opening times, but would definitely recommend.
Decent fall back is the prince regent opposite brockwell lido (forum favourite pub) or you could try any of the commercial, half moon or Florence in Herne Hill, my missus hates the half moon so can’t comment on their roasts in the year or so that they’ve been reopened.
Crown and anchor on Brixton road just down from Brixton Cycles is a decent shout as well.. -

my missus hates the half moon
You had your first date at the Half Moon, I was there...
-

that was before the flood, the long time closed, the take over by fullers and the abortive attempt to do sunday lunch there which ended up with us leaving after an hour, not having been shown menu's or a drink order being taken, and then being told when we did get the menu's that half the roast options weren't available, ended up in the prince regent..
