In fairness, I think my ex-wife is alright too.
Obvs, no way as good as a microwave, but that's a high hurdle.
What's going to do your nut, though, is that unless your microwave is a Panasonic (or some models of LG), the the different power settings are just cycles of full power and no power (rather than less power).
I'm ditching our cheapy poppety ping box for a Panasonic with a proper inverter.

Bought one today, aren't they terrific? I'm talking about microwaves...
We completed a year ago today, time flies, eh? Still got two almost unusable rooms full of boxes... I need to get the carport turned into a garage, pronto...
