Totally. IIRC the f1.8 version was the first that had really good, fast to use manual control over the flash power.
Also fill flash is invaluable in daylight portraits of course ... or when you might not have a reflector.

A bit Terry without the horrible misogyny and less colour. So I’m in two minds about the new camera. It looks great in every other respect but I enjoyed the flash.
