Now on to winter, with a few questions:
- Maybe narrower tyres would make it less heavy?
- Which mudguards would be compatible with these big tyres?

Ace! Glad it's getting used. I miss it ;)

Odd question but what’s the smallest size tyre that’s going to work on a Straggler without looking strange? I’m thinking 32, but has anyone put 28s on one?

Guys, #fattiesfitfine you're doing it wrong.
-
• #1106
I genuinely presumed that was a reference to the riders weight...

I realise small tyres is defeating one of the points of a Surly :-)
-
• #1108
Yeah my wife did too - she got on her high horse, thinking it was a reference to the sturdy nature of the bike

Without "too much tyre", you might as well get a cheaper lighter steel frame with a decent length headtube.

Any interest in a 58cm Blue Disc Trucker with Son Dynamo front wheel, B&M Lumotec IQ2 light and charger, SKS Guards, Avid BB7s, Bar End shifters, rear rack and ortleib back roller bags?
I've not got the space to keep it so testing the water for a sale. Proper touring rig and capable of a real adventure or absolutely bossing the commute!

Such as?
Genuine question; there don't seem to be that many contenders. I was keen on a Soma fab at one point but they aren't cheaper.

I'll take the lights if you split it
-
• #1113
Cheers but it'll be an all or nothing sale (if I do sell)

Tidying your garage?

• #1118
I know I should be ashamed of myself

• #1119
That was my first thought.

• #1120
What's the plan?
-
• #1121
Do you need a fork for that? I am swapping out my CC frame and will have a spare fork going soon.
-
• #1122
Yes fork came with it, just not pictured. Thanks though.

Singlespeed commuter with mudguards and rack. Already mounted a frame lock on it... Maybe audax duties in the future. Still debating whether to go for swept back riser bars or drops for the initial setup.

Just been into Woods Cyclery in Lyndhurst and ogled at the Bridge Club. Looks like it sits exactly between my ogre and lht.
Therefore I need one.... -

I should do this, but absolutely get too sentimental with my bikes
@beetletype25
This sums it up pretty well:
Also went on a week-long tour with it and the panniers:
Wet, slow, hilly... long story short: awesome!
